New Moon - New Dawn - New Uganda

Psalm 133

The Excellency of Brotherly Unity

A Song of Ascents, of David

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!

It is like the precious oil upon the head, coming down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard,

Coming down upon the edge of his robes.

It is like the dew of Hermon coming down upon the mountains of Zion;

For there the LORD commanded the blessing

- life forever.

As I have been spending time in prayer and fasting over the last few days the Lord has been speaking to me about Uganda. Specifically He has been showing me the corruption in the land.

Uganda has never stepped into her true identity in Christ. She is a mighty nation among the nations, and a deep well of unfulfilled promise that should be watering her people and the nations around her, but she has never shaken off her lust for corruption.

Psalm 133 shows us a principle that everything flows from the head downward, in the psalm it is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, but in this principle, whatever is poured out flows down through the nation, through the organization, or through the family. When a spirit is poured out it comes 'down upon' and when the Holy Spirit comes upon a person or congregation it is for works of service for the benefit of the people. Again the same principle applies in that whatever spirit is poured out, it is that spirit which will come upon a person and go to work for its own ends.

Uganda is a two tier nation of rich and poor. The rich think they are the blessed of God because of their wealth which they flaunt, and yet they are the very cursed of their nation because they have abandoned their brothers and sisters in the nation. There is little distinction between those who know Christ and those who don't. Brother will help brother... if there is financial gain. Brother will help sister... if there are sexual favours. Parents throw their children away as if they are garbage, not understanding that they are their very inheritance from the LORD (Psalm 127). People rise to the lowest levels of power in community and in government and begin to extract additional fees to supplement their income and status. The weak get crushed as the strong grow stronger and do all they can to cement their position.

"This is just our culture. This is just our nature" they say, like the woman in proverbs who wipes her mouth and says, 'I have done nothing wrong.' It is a corrupt spirit that is poured out upon the head, flowing down into every corner of Ugandan society, and the LORD is displeased.

The owner of the vineyard is near and asking for His share of the harvest. Visitation is about to come upon Uganda. First for judgment and then for blessing.

The LORD will not allow the presidency of Uganda to be turned into a monarchy. Presidencies change at the ballot box, but monarchies fall by the sword. There has been enough blood shed in this nation already.

Yesterday, 1 February 2023, as I was meditating on these things I saw in the spirit a meeting between the LORD and President Yoweri Museveni. In this meeting the LORD asked the President, "Where is your fruit?" The President began to mumble about a number of things, but the LORD raised His hand to stop the president speaking and said, "NO! You claim to be a Christian. Where is your fruit? From the top of Uganda to its southern border, where is your fruit? Fruit that lasts?" President Museveni fell silent. He had none.

After the vision finished I heard the LORD saying something unusual. He said, "I am giving him the cycle of one moon to repent." This sent me o the Internet to research the cycles of the moon, and I discovered that the new moon cycle began on 21 January and completes its cycle on 20 February.

I believe the conversation I saw between the LORD and the President actually took place recently, either by way of a dream or the Holy Spirit convicting the President in his conscience that change is needed. Either way I believe the President knows within himself that He needs to make changes and build an eternal legacy. He knows he stands at a crossroads and must decide for himself.

This is a time for Ugandans and intercessors all over the world to pray for the president, that he would make the heart changes, and then the practical changes that need to be made. Those heart changes need to be sincere and they need to happen by 20 February. The LORD is prepared to use this man and work through him to usher in the greatest season in Uganda's history, the greatest blessing it has ever experienced, but the prayers of the people will have a great say in the outcome and the direction the nation moves in from here onwards. It is those who hunger and thirst who are filled.

A window of great opportunity has opened for the people of Uganda, but they must fall on their knees and pray. And they must pray for the president that he will repent. Sincere, cries of the heart on behalf of this man must ascend to the throne room. God is not interested in opinions as to whether the president is a good man or an evil man. The LORD is fully aware of his record. We are to pray for the soul of this man and that he would come into complete agreement with God over his destiny and his purpose.

In recent years I perceived that things were not right in UK politics, and those who said they had the solution were actually part of the problem, or so I thought, and it made me angry. Then the LORD corrected me. He said, "I am deeply, deeply in love with all the people you dislike... and you would do well to remember this." Ouch! It is a lesson the world needs to remember, and in this instance it is time to pray for President Museveni like you are praying for your father, or your brother, or your son - sincere, heartfelt supplications are needed between now and 20 February.

Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;

Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, and turn His anger away from him.

Proverbs 24 v17-18

What happens after 20 February will in some way be determined by the prayers for the president before this date. Should the president decide not to repent, then it will be the LORDS pleasure to remove him and his regime, but only to the extent that the body of Christ in Uganda prays for change. If you were not prepared to pray for his repentance from a pure heart, God will not receive your prayers on this matter. A lukewarm church will receive the lukewarm response it deserves!

So in closing, I ask intercessors and Christians around the world, but especially in Uganda, to lift up the president and the nation before God.

Nothing may look different in the natural realm across Uganda, but in the spirit realm she has crossed over into a new season.

Uganda, the LORD has prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemies, and on this table is a new moon, followed by a new dawn, followed by a new Uganda.... BUT will you come to the table? Uganda, your nation is starving to death, but are you hungry?

Let's pray.....
